Restored is a community of Catholic men who’ve walked through separation and divorce and found healing in faith, brotherhood, and honest conversation.
About Restored
Restored is a ministry run by Catholic laymen who have been separated and / or divorced. Some have attained annulments, some have re-partnered.
Each of us has walked the vulnerable valley of isolation and disconnect while carrying the guilt and shame of a marriage break-down.
Under the patronage of David, King of Israel, his example is used as a model for others to follow. He was a sinner, a murderer, an adulterer, and yet was “a man after God’s own heart”.
Despite his failings he, and his kingdom, were restored. Restoration is possible for all of us.

A personal source of encounter and sharing experiences via a web-based meeting platform.
Acceptance
Every one has a different story. The struggles are real and to own them and name them is the start of change.

Praying together, soaking in scripture, and still being active in the local church are fundamental.
Resources
While we have gone through marriage breakdown we are not counsellors or psychologists. We are a toolbox of resources to draw upon as needed.
Why Restored?
Men often feel isolated at the best of times; challenging times like this accentuates the sense of isolation and loneliness.
Add to this, the response from “the church” has been left wanting again and again. It is unsure how best to respond. However, we laity are also church and we, too, have been called to cast our nets wide.
Our way of life
1/ Daily prayer and reflection
2/ Regular fellowship with other men
3/ Loving others in the way they need to be loved in the knowledge that I am also lovable and loved by God
4/ Being a missionary disciple as I serve and contribute to the communities to which I belong
